Hyaenodonta (en ocasiones escrito como "Hyaenodontida"[4]) es un orden extinto de mamíferoseuterios hipercarnívoros.[5] Originalmente fueron clasificados junto con los oxiénidos como parte de otro orden, Creodonta,[6] pero se ha establecido que dicho taxón es un grupo polifilético, de modo que los hienodontes no estaban especialmente relacionados con los oxiénidos. Los hienodontes pueden haber evolucionado como un grupo originalmente endémico de África en el Paleoceno.[7]
